You can order a V-Strom DL1000 from Bonanza, they are the importers. But check with MotoExtreme in Santo Domingo as they may have a new DL650 on their showroom floor.

A DL1000 is overkill for the DR. Even 2-up the DL650 does a fantastic job on every road.

A new DL650 will run around RD$455,000, a DL100 around RD$540,000 MOL.

My battlehorse is hurt...(sniff). I need new sealers for the 4 carboraters. I heard they are RD$200plus a piece at Honda. Does anyone know of a cheaper solution?

Thank you.

That's not such a bad price considering the option means shipping them in. US$21. Do it.

Nice pictures!
Samana area is superb motorcycling country. Few cars, breathtaking scenery, nice locales for food, refreshment. One of the reasons I live in this area.
