According to that info. you need to have the car registered in P.R. with a P.R.'can driver's license also. Bummer.
Anyone else know of a loophole in this?

boys and their toys...you guys really get attached!!

Why would this have anything to do with "boys and their toys"? My adamancy about bringing mine here was not because I perceived it as a toy that I couldn't part with, but because I had 3 vehicles in the states and certainly didn't need to buy a 4th; because it was less expensive to ship it here rather than to buy something comparable here, and because I knew it was made for DR driving. It's fairly short and narrow, and easily navigable. More a practical decision than a need for a toy. But, then again, us "boys" tend to be a bit practical in our thinking.. LOL

Hey... I resent that! I'm a woman and I want to bring my car;) Again, not because I can't part with it, but because the same car (mind you SAME YEAR) here would cost me the same as what I paid for it new and I even paid my fair share seeing as how I bought it in Puerto Rico, where they have a special "luxury" tax on all SUVs. Anyway, I'm just trying to save a few bucks for my fiance whom I am dragging here against his will (poor guy).
