The prosecutor should have asked for a preliminary hearing before this term. Sometimes they have too many cases and don't get to have the case wrapped up on time. According to the reporter even the prosecutor agrees that this was done according to the law.

Often they set the bail too high and the person can't pay, so they stay locked up.

Thank you for the explanation. This is what I fear with the 4 in jail for the murder of Lindsay de Feliz.

This could be the result of the palm greasing. It makes everything look legit. Then he can fade into the sunset without much fanfare. The key is the bolden statement in you quoted post.

Greasing the palm to get something in ones favor is a good thing....unless someone with more money has a grudge against you and is doing the greasing.
this is true... greasing for things we need ...not to hurt people..
