The condos across the street from our house, their HOA I heard was $500-1500 USD a month.

I am just surprised because the biggest issue with Cap Cana is the monthly residence fee. The lowest I know of in Cap Cana is $800.00 and that was for a studio condo.

I would not go off what you see on various websites. The best and most accurate way to know is go there directly and ask. My brother was given various amounts when he asked prior to buying. Guess what, the price was totally different when he actually bought the place.

I know, right? Just plain crazy. I feel like I am in movie "Beetlejuice" where that guy is standing over the graveyard where dead people are paying these crazy prices

Not hardly, many buy as an investment. They rent it out when they are not using it. My brothers and a couple of others do pretty good in the rental market. Some buy there for the marina, others buy there for the golfing, etc.. It is not for everyone, but these people are definitely not brain dead. Casa de Campo is similar.
