Wow prices are too expensive right now to travel from MCO (Orlando) to STI (Santiago) Dominican Republic !

The best I can find is a roundtrip w. 1 layover in Miami above $515.00
Leaving July 1st - July16th.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ? or give me some advise where I can find cheap flights to Santiago from Orlando ?

Have you checked on Travelocity.com or expedia.com Sometimes they have great deals. Try this go to Expedia.com and go to Top Deals and check to see if you can find a cheap fight for the summer.

Good Luck!!;)

We travel back and forth from the DR to Orlando twice a year and have found Spirit to have the best deals. Spirit leaves Mco at 8am and gets into Fll at 9. It then leaves Fll at 11am and gets into Sdq at 2pm Sdq time (2 hrs flight time). I think the route north has about the same schedule leaving SDQ at 8am and arriving Orlando around early afternoon. I flew one-way south last week for $197. RT is about $400 but I also paid that one-way going north earlier in the week as I booked at the last minute and the flight was full.

When we're in a hurry, we also fly into Puerto Plata being that its closer to Samana, but it's way more expensive. Same for Santiago.

hello- i just booked a flight today from orlando to sd for $250 (that's a $99 ticket including all misc fees) www.spiritair.com

Wow thats a great deal ! I wish I could find a deal like that going to STI - Santiago. My Family only live 10 minutes away from the STI airport. Does anyone think the longer I wait the higher the price is going to be ? or do u think there might be some deals coming out sometime within the next couple of months ????

Thanks for your feedback its very much appreciated.

Spirit from FLL to STI is about the cheapest..

HB

I don't think Spirit go to Santiago (STI). It only goes to SDQ and PUJ, but thanks for the heads up.

A layover is overnight - did the OP mean a conenction or a stopover?

I meant a connection. only have to wait 1-2 hours between flights. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi

I'm also trying to find a cheaper (than $600) flight from MCO to STI. Going in March & have checked many travel sites. Its starting to get ridiculous, the cheaper flights have you going up to New York then back down, some overnight flights, changing airlines, etc.

Please if anyone has any other suggestions, they would be most appreciated.

The exacttarget fares do not include international taxes of up to $118. Read the fine print at the bottom of the ad. Three weeks ago I paid $197 (taxes included) from Mco to Sdq, one way with Spirit. The round trip was right at $300. We've been flying this route for some time and I've searched the 'net and have not found cheaper fares.

Based on this price, it's cheaper to fly to Sdq and then take the bus to Santiago or Puerto Plata.
