so...

as i don't want to risk being unable to board my flight to dr for having only a one way ticket (i'm gonna be flying from somewhere in europe), i'm trying to find the cheapest destination (ANY destination, except the US) from the dr (any airport) in order to just by an onward ticket which i probably won't even use...

any suggestions on destination/airline?

thanx in advance!!

from which airport and with which airline?
At the risk of sounding sarcastic, I'm not an airline agent.
You know where you are, and you could ask your travel agent who flies to Santiago de Cuba and how much it costs.
I'm not sure I even understand why you want a ticket to elsewhere, but I presumed it might be helpful for you to at least know one of the closest out of country international airports, that is not in the US, because San Juan, Puerto Rico would be a lot better and closer than Cuba.

i want an onward ticket from the dr to anywhere else cuz they might not let me board the plane to dr with a one way ticket (since i'm not a residen of th dr), and i figured it would be cheaper to buy a one way tckt to dr and an onward tckt to a closest/cheapest destination, so they wouldn't think i'm planning to stay in the dr... cuz roundtriptickets from europe to dr tend to be very expensive..

anyway, i appreciate your help, thnx :)

Makes sense.
If the ticket is refundable, you could buy a ticket to anywhere from here and just cash it in later.
Is that a possibility?

Cheap return...?

Without knowing where you are flying from in Europe - my UK experience is that if you can leave it until last minute and not be tied to a particular day you are better off going for a cheap return and not using the return part.
That is what a lot of English people have had to do and it usually works out fine, price wise. Be aware that ALL flights are a lot more expensive now with the fuel charges and taxes being charged.

Flights to Port-au-Prince, Curacao, maybe even Caracas are cheaper than Cuba and San Juan.
