In a letter addressed to their collaborators, they indicated that they are obliged to cease their operations because they do not have the financial means to operate it.

On August 25 of this year, we have submitted to the Ministry of Labor the request for the corresponding resolution, in accordance with articles 56 and 82 of the labor code... in this sense we are proceeding to pay the acquired rights, as well as the economic assistance established in art. 82 of the aforementioned code, once the Ministry of Labor issues the corresponding authorization resolution.
Detail the statement.

Through the said letter, they explained that, henceforth, in order to comply with the foregoing, those affected can contact Mrs. María Medina. The ways to do so is through an email that contains the letter or by calling 829-216-0876.

Complaints by former Chef Pepper employees

A group of former employees of the Chef Pepper fast food restaurant, went to social networks to denounce that the food company does not want to pay the money corresponding to its liquidation.
They detailed that the branches where they worked were closed, and indicated that the administrators do not provide answers to their concerns.
Here are people who lasted 10 and seven years working at Chef Pepper and have not received anything. Explained a former employee of the company.
Another young woman who said she worked at the Ágora branch, where she stayed for seven years, expressed her outrage. She explained that the company is a repeat offender in harming its employees.
They owe my colleagues vacations, hours worked, and overtime. They don't want to pay us our monthly payments. They want to say that they are bankrupt, when we have proof that they are not.
…Said the former employee.
They also explained that the company opened a new branch in the United States and another on Avenida San Isidro. So they understand that they have resources to pay their benefits.
Through the audiovisual posted on the TikTok account, they exposed that the owners of said fast food restaurant wanted to intimidate him.
When one of our girls called María Medina, a representative of one of our bosses, she told her that if we talked, they would take action.
added.
He assures that they were canceled without prior notice.
It is assumed that when a person is going to be fired, they give 15 days notice.
added
They also indicated that the managers dismantled all the offices and that they gave him a number, in but no one answered him.
They indicated that a bankrupt company does not hire more staff, indicating that the company continues to seek employment.
They wanted to make me sign a new contract, and I told them that they had to cancel and liquidate me, because I was six years old.
Said the former Chef Pepper worker.

They described the action of the fast food company as an abuse. They explained that they were people, mostly mothers and fathers, who were working honestly.

Loved them in Santiago for many years..............then about 5 years ago................their service and product quality went south. I was informed that they had sold to a new owner at that time and after a disappointing experience I never went back.

At one time, there was no better place for a real hamburger than Chef Pepper.

Respectfully,

I have eaten Chef Pepper more times than I care to admit. They used to be very popular a while back but as others have said their quality and service really went down.

Just like many other franchises here. When Johnny Rockets opened, the food was great, but mind-numbing expensive.

IHOP was another, as was Denny's, Fuddruckers, and a bunch of others.

The one I really liked was Carl's Jr., even though it wasn't cheap either.

Chef Pepper lasted longer than most.

These places are all the same. A Dominican owned and managed thinks they have a gold mine. So the prices are double or more than normal for the franchise and they cut corners. At the opening it is packed as usual. When that wears off it is only a matter of time before the clients smarten up and they go belly up.............

Right. If you're going to charge premium prices, you have to offer premium service.

Wendy's for one has quality persons who visit each outlet on a regular basis anonymously and record observations on service so they may be addressed and rectified. (I've met one of them)

It shows when you visit a Wendy's restaurant.

Wendy's is the only fast food place that gives you quality and service the same as you would expect in the US. Sometimes even better..............

There is one here in Santiago on Avenida 27 de Febrero a few blocks from me. Food was good a few years back but expensive. Good riddance.

I remember I went to IHOP at Sambil and it was great at start, months later, they went downhill. Why? Too expensive. Then it died, no more.

Fuddruckers closed down because people don't go there anymore. Denny's is still open but one in Naco opens 24/7. Carl's Jr used be in Agora but closed down.

Johnny Rocket used be at Sambil, now no more.

Remember Cinnabon? No more. I'm surprised Krispy Kreme still exists.

Honest, i'm shocked Starbucks made to DR, we'll see how it goes in next 2-3 years.

As JD said Dennys has been long gone. Starbucks, well they will continue to attract tourists and those who want to try it based on the name.

I am not a big fan of Wendy's, but I am not a big fan of fast food. However, I will take a Wendy's burger over Burger King/McDonalds anytime. But I do like Carls as well.
