National Treasurer Catalino Correa announced that the government will be paying the Christmas wage starting 1 December 2020 to stimulate economic recovery. The Christmas wage will inject RD$18.9 billion into the economy. This is RD$1.02 billion less than last year when RD$19.92 billion was paid in government Christmas wages. In 2019, the wages were paid starting 5 December.
