This question is for Mr. Guzman please.
My step-daughter who is 4 years old has been granted a ViSA for Permanent Residency in Canada.
My husband who is Dominican will be travelling down to get her.
My husband has a signed document that states the mother has no objections for her daughter to move to Canada Permanently. It also states that there is no custody orders in the Dominican Republic that would prevent her daughter from moving there.
It was signed by the mother, a lawyer in Santo Domingo and it was signed and notarized by a Notary Public for Distrito Nacional. This was done last year in April 2008 for the immigration process to Canada.
Will this be sufficient or do we need another document for my husband to take his daughter out of the Dominican Republic?
My husband will be leaving for the DR on Sunday.
Thank you for your help.
Sandy
