Maybe Sirena will now understand that they will need to finally improve in order to compete if in fact it is built as a Playaro Supermarket. Because Nelson certainly knows that his market share will get even bigger from the areas of Sea Horse, Casa Linda, Lomas Mironas, and Perla Marina just to name a few.

Sirena won't double down because a small supermarket based in Sosúa decides to make another branch less than 2 miles of the main branch.

Remember, as a corporation it is, they're heavily focused on more affluent areas of DR by power purchase volume right now (Santo Domingo Este, Nagua, San Pedro, the whole south side of the DR).

Sirena has had renovations to their store in Sosua which have take forever even in Dominican time, but many feel it is not better than before. I don't think Sirena are going to change to try and match a couple of local Playeros because they are a countrywide chain and have their established style.

At any rate, more options are better for the consumer. More consumers are already clogging our two lane one horse town roads.

Signage went up last week. Janet's Mall is what it's called.
