New Continental's Excess Baggage Policy

Continental's Excess Baggage Rates For Latin America and the Caribbean (Applies only to customers with tickets issued on or after September, 7, 2005)
(These charges cannot be waived)
Additional Baggage
Checked baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance will be charged as follows:
* $100 per piece
* Additional, overweight and oversize charges are accumulative per piece.
Overweight Baggage
* Economy Class
Checked baggage over 50 lbs (22.7 kg) and not exceeding 70 lbs (32 kg) will be charged at the rate of $25.00 per piece.
Checked baggage over 70 lbs (32 kg) and not exceeding 100 lbs (45 kg) will be charged at the rate of $100.00 per piece.
* OnePass Elite Members (seated in Economy Class), First Class and BusinessFirst
Checked baggage over 70 lbs (32 kg) and not exceeding 100 lbs (45 kg) will be charged at the rate of $100.00 per piece.
* Baggage weighing more than 100 lbs/45 kgs will not be accepted as checked baggage
* Only one overweight charge can be assessed per piece.
* Additional, overweight and oversize charges are accumulative per piece.
Oversized Baggage
* Checked baggage exceeding 62 linear inches (157 cm)(total length + width + height) will be charged at the rate of $100.00 per piece.
* Baggage measuring more than 115 in/292 cm (total outside dimensions; length + width + height) will not be accepted as checked baggage.
* Additional, overweight and oversize charges are accumulative per piece
Continental does not accept excess baggage in the following year round embargoed markets:
* Caracas, Venezuela (CCS)
* Houston, Texas to Bogot?, Colombia (BOG)
* Lima, Peru (LIM)
* San Salvador, El Salvador (SAL)
* Santiago, Dominican Republic (STI)
* Tortola, British Virgin Islands (EIS)

Live animals are not accepted as checked baggage.
