what I recognized is a military troop carrying an old outdated M16 that should be in a museum and an old dude that should be arrested just for wearing that speedo swim suit

I really don't understand these people, like you're old and you can die. Plus this is not your country! You can't do whatever you'd like to do. I hope they didn't let them go just by taking money. They should see this is serious.

Beast,. Let me break it down. You see, most gringos come here on some puta and palm tree dream where they fantasized about underage morenitas ir thought they could do some charity for these "poor third world people". What has happened, especially in these gringo hola and gracias hotbeds, are these folks have evolved into deserving and I have rights I'm a gringo, look how these people treat me. They have tried for years to bring little Florida to DR by building homes in gated communities like Casa Linda where you pay 400K for a modest ranch with ugly coralina tile. They are out of touch with this place, the people and the culture. They become annoyed by Dominican people and society and entrench further. They get on sites like everything cabarete and ask each other where you can buy an AC unit or where one can find a certified electrician. All these "poor Dominicans" need their help and they are here to save the "island". All up until a PN Colonel call them out on their BS and they end up in the fiscalía armed with 4 words of Spanish and a scheister lawyer who always seems "to be the best" but they get the bill for 10K US. Lol.

This is where we are at, unfortunately.

De acuerdo. You explained so well. They think they can do everything with their money (well at some point they can because people let them) I hate when people say oh dominican people is that, dominican people are that. I've been in this country for 2 years and I had some amazing memories, learned a new language and the people are really nice and happy. Sometimes people call me "gringo" because I'm white with blue eyes and I tell them to not to call me that because I'm not one of those people. I ain't rich or from US.

They probably didn't know about the mandatory wearing of face masks in public, as it only came into force yesterday. I only heard about it last night.

Way way way too much generalization. But I guess it's easier that way.

This has nothing to do with the case doubling, it just means they have doubled the tests in 9 days.

As said many times before, Austria with the same population size and also a large tourist industry like DR, is every single day doing more tests then DR in 2 month.

At that ridiculous low level of tests the number of cases in DR have no connection to the reality and there is absolutely nothing you can read out of those completely irrelevant numbers. It would be the best for everyone if they stop publishing those numbers as they give a false security and have no base on reality.

The problem is that they are working only with donations for tests, because the purchase tests are unavailable the international pharma is only willing to sell 50 test kits per week to the DR. That's what the minister of health said a few days ago. Yesterday Danilo said there should be 40k tests done next week or so...

Any old man wearing a banana hammock should be put on the first outbound plane to his home in Europe - geez old dude you've long ago passed your salad days.
Never understood European men's fancy for ball-hugger swim suits. It's not like they are going to swim competitively in any of their few remaining years, so give the old boys some space to swing.

How does one block a whole thread? lol

I suppose I can just try and remember not to read it/them but if there is a way to spare me from stumbling across such "judgy" threads please post it. I know I can't be the only one that sees no benefit in reading such drivel ;) LOL

To quote a member "no one forced you to read it" . You sound like a new member who wants to complain and put folks in their place if they post something you don't like.

Post or not. Read or don't. Maybe you should go over to everything cabarete. That's seems more what you're looking for.

Dont believe that for a second, those in the barrios are very aware of everything happening in the country.
