Honestly I bet it depends in what part of the country you are located it, I bet you will hear alot of different slogans from the cibao vs. Santo Domingo.


It should be "esta malo aqui" because everyone I speak to from the D.R says the same thing when you ask them how is it over there.

I think you may have a legitimate "double entendre" there, since for many of the people I know in the DR "no hay lu" means "no hay loo too"! (or at least they'll need to flush with a bucket.)

Its a bad situation in the D.R. and I hope that in the near future we start seeing positive changes. It is derpessing when I see on T.V. how dominicans have died by trying to flee the country in a life raft (u cant even call it a boat). I also would never criticize the men or women that are out there trying to meet tourists so they can find a meal ticket out of the D.R.
