So, you would commit a severe crime to avoid vaccination. Interesting. I know, this is the DR, not the US, etc, etc, etc..

The most common logic would be a QR code which can be made legit via input verification by scanning in a gov website. Shows green it’s good. Red no entry and yellow a single shot taken(could be admitted but segregated from larger groups inside the dwelling).

Can we lock this thread as it has nothing to do with any curfew status present , past or future, after post 8# believe . Just who will and who won't , do what they want to do but feel compelled to share.
Leave it open!
Plenty to be learned from these super spreader conspiracy theorists and their constant fear mongering about how we're all going to get sick and
die if we don't get vaccinated.

I disagree. I think a retinal scan and finger print is a better way to track, control and manage those non-compliant sob's.

I can't believe that there is a health and wellness tourism conference scheduled for June 9th and 10th in Santo Domingo, with 800 delegates and they are allowing it to go ahead. This seems like complete madness. So the government is saying they have to impose strict curfews as things are spiralling out of control, but it's fine for 800+ people to fly in from all four corners of the world, not be tested, and stay in the city with the biggest problem.

The increased positivity rates are in grand part from the Teteos in barrios and bars, clubs, etc…
Very little to do with actual normal day to day interactions.

Thanks for explaining WHY they are lying about and inflating the very low % of people that are actually dying from, as opposed to with, COVID.

Comorbidity rates are very high in the excess deaths reported in all countries.
Sure enough, they didn’t die just due to the virus infection but as a contributing factor on an already precarious pre-existing medical condition.

The virus accelerated their demise, so to speak.

I commit it in order to avoid Government's stupidity, because if they start to require vaccination cards anywhere, it's easier to show one from US than argue with anybody. And I don't need any vaccine, I already had Covid and I have my own antibodies, no need for Chinese ones for me.

CDC card doesn't have any QR or bar codes, you can't say which one is fake and which one is real if the fake one is printed correctly. Imagine if somebody has a real one, for example, my friend went to Miami twice to get his Pfizer shots and I saw his card, so what, will they tell him 'Oh no this one is not good now vaccinate again here to get a Dominican card'? Of course no, that's bullshlt. So if you look like a foreigner and you have a CDC card, it will work here, no matter if it's real or it it's fake.

I got the first jab and next end June. I remember about 20 years ago I started to travel to “those countries” as my doctor phrased it. He recommended I got several vaccines and I did as he recommended and got one of those yellow travel vaccination passports. I didn’t question if that was a good idea and didn’t think in terms of any conspiracy theories and I didn’t ask where the vaccines where from. I am neither afraid of the virus nor the vaccination. It just seems like the sensible thing to do to get vaccinated.
like I previously posted, any one who was ever in the military knows what its like to get countless inoculations. I lost track of how many and what they were for.

It's not a crime in DR, so FBI can suck my D. On top of that, I commit it in order to avoid Government's stupidity, because if they start to require vaccination cards anywhere, it's easier to show one from US than argue with anybody. It's a different thing. Actually, CDC card is not an official document intended to be shown to any authorities. It's just a piece of paper and a purpose of it to remind the patient what shots he had and when. That's why it doesn't have any signature of the doctor, etc. It's just a piece of paper to remind you when and where you had your shots done and what vaccine was used, so you know when to get a next one. Imagine you had a real card, but you lost it, so you print it again for yourself just to have that info somewhere.

Maybe you are right but it doesn’t look good.

I was just at a SD cafe franchise in a mall in SD and they had introduced social distancing again and removed tables and chairs. Not sure if it is just company policy or new government recommendations/restrictions. It looked like in May/June last year.

What they do not seem to realize is this virus is here to stay. It's like the clap. Good luck trying to get rid of it ( people to follow all of their draconian rules) when most refuse to even wear a condom. It is absolutely pointless to continue this nonsense.

What I would really do, is no curfew and no restriction on those that are vaccinated and those that are I would make their life hell.

When I recently stated that those who refuse vaccination should pay for their own treatment if they get CV19,
You labeled me a would be a would be dictator. :D

Now this from you.
It shows, we can learn and change our mind ...good on you!

It's obvious, with more people vaccinated CV19 will be reduced as will be the severity of infections.

Maybe if half of US citizens do not want to be inoculated,
The US could donate Pfizer and Moderna doses to vaccinate most Dominicans.

Like this the danger to the citizens because of tourism could be reduced,
And DR tourism could flourish again.

I honestly don’t know what’s best to do. But I just made this observation and suspect it’s a sign of things coming

Much like everything else in this country, it will be enforced for a few months than
they will become passive, relaxed and things will gradually get back to normal. Much like walking
into La Sirena. First it was long lines, social distancing, mask and temperature checks. Then it was
social distancing, mask and temperature checks, during my most recent trip to La Sirena (about 6
hours ago, it was just pull your mask up. So for as much as a pain in the ass some of our fellow posters
want life to be for others, at the end of the day (thank god) it will be Dominicans enforcing the rules.
Then of course there are those out there who are pretty savvy so I won't be surprised at all if people
find ways around these new draconian ideas... believe me, they will

True,
But will the savvy Dominicans find a way around CV19 infection......doge & parry....run

Lemme ask you this much .

Do you even understand that this is NOT a Vaccine ? did you at least do THAT much Research , before calling people " Conspiracy theorists"
jd426 knows it's not a vaccine but,
A carrier for a micro chip tracking device.
No wonder there is a shortage of microchip semiconductors.
Better start manufacturing our own.

they're not going to stop with the curfews and restrictions until some vaccine threshold is reached where they won't be concerned with overwhelming their healthcare system. 50%? More? They need to get creative and offer incentives for getting vaccinated.

I'll just fake a CDC card and if somebody asks for it anywhere, I'll show it and say that I was vaccinated in US.
We're on to you.
We know that just about 50% in the US had one inoculation.
41% are fully vaccinated.
About a 50/50% chance that you're liar, don't worry you'll still get into the DR to spread your goodness.
