Good day everybody > As the frequent readers know for now, i am returning to the Coral Marien from 23 dec 04 to january 7th 05. I've posted a thread concerning a trip from POP to Santo-Domingo few days ago. I receive a lots of usefull information so I try again with a second question. (What a preambule !!!)

I want to know if it's possible (I think so but...) to buy a day passe for the Iberostar Costa Dorada to ?try? the Iberostar service. Last Winter, i was at the hacienda dominicus and I enjoy every minute of it.
How much money do I need for this ? Can I have the right to eat (like lunch + dinner). For exemple if I want to go there whend they have beach party paella and I pay for a day passe, etc...

Did I make the right choici to buy Marien instead Iberostar ????? I thaink it's a better price/quality. I am a single traveller so I have to pay a supplement for single occupancy....

Thank you in advance for the replies..... :bandit:

Hi holacanada,

Greetings from Nova Scotia.

E-mail the hotel at costa.dorada@iberostar.com.do and ask.

You may be able to walk up and "negotiate" a better deal but at least you will know the most it would cost you.

Gregg

P.S. - Post or e-mail me a review - I am at Coral Marien for two weeks in April and have previously stayed at ICD.

Generally the cost of a resort day pass runs from about US$ 25 - 50. They are usually valid for am - pm activities ending around 6 pm and includes lunch. The hook is, if you desire to remain after 6 pm you purchase a night pass which is valid for activities until midnight - 2 am and includes dinner. The resorts will have their own variations and tariffs following this pattern.

When you go to a resort, do as FireGuy suggests, see if you can negotiate a better deal. Ask what the tariff is first .....then begin to bargain them down.

Regards,
PJT
