Delta Airlines has brought down the flights from 7 weekly to 6. Delta will not operate on Thursadays. The airline is also now using a 737 instead of the 757 it use to use for the low season. On top of that for the high season of summer they are only upgrading to a 757. I dont know I guess Delta is not getting the support it needs from people and AA is robbing it all.

Delta not doing as great in STI
Delta is doing ok on its routes to dominican republic, its was a dumb idea to bring 737-800 to STI and SDQ market. Delta is not too smart anymore doing this kind of thing. Delta should change from a 757 to a 763 but i think thats those 763 are being used for Europe flights from JFK for the summer.
"Delta not doing as great in STI" is a pretty sensational headline.
Makes it sound like closure is immiment.
But going from 7 to 6 flights/week, in a very seasonal destination, is probably nothing more than a well-reasoned adjustment to supply in response to a seasonal decrease in demand.

Today flight from STI-JFK is Overbook by 17 in Economy class.
Atlanta-SDQ also very full for the last month.
DL will change the departure time for all flights going to SDQ and STI.

I am coming for a party in NYC and after will head straight to atlanta. I may not have time to hang with anyone this time. But if I decide to stay another day or 2, I will call. Lets go to rancho Jubliee if we go for a few drinks and laughs.badpiece33 said:

Delta may be doing fine in Santiago and this could simply be seasonal fluctuations as demand increases/decrease through any given year, but the one that is really having problems is American Airlines in Puerto Plata.
Apparently, the NYC-Puerto Plata route has been unprofitable for quite some time and they are finally letting this one go.

Well as discussed earlier that really sucks but I guess they had to fo it now the only direct way to get to POP is through EWR or you would have to fly into STI or make a connection.
