I am wondering if there's government assistance for locals who need dental work but are unemployed?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Very cheap, and they do great work too. A few hundred dollars will get you a lot of quality work done.No. But dentists are cheap.
Dominican citizens (not legal residents) qualify for basic SENASA. From what I can see, dental plans are optional. If you're unemployed, I thought you qualified for the Senasa medical insurance don't you? Which gives you a plan basica. Isn't there some dentistry included in that? As others have commented, dentistry is relatively cheap here in any case.
For my information...does "local" mean a resident by law in the DR?I am wondering if there's government assistance for locals who need dental work but are unemployed?

Hi Fulano2 - not sure yet. My GF has yet to visit a dentist. She lives in POP.No. But dentists are cheap.
In La Vega in the ninetees there were :” más dentistas que bocas”.

I am asking for my GF who is a nativeFor my information...does "local" mean a resident by law in the DR?

Hi Jan - where is this place - which province?
The Centro Sanitario in POP is behind the fire station just off the Malecon. I don't know if they have dentists. There is also a dental clinic named Sonrisa that I think is geared toward low income, but I may be wrong about that.Hi Fulano2 - not sure yet. My GF has yet to visit a dentist. She lives in POP.
Like Windguy said. I have used it before for fillings and also for an allergic reaction I had once. They are very good there. They have all types of doctor services. Free, even for me a permanent resident. But, it is first come first serve. I walked my dogs past there this morning at 6AM and there were already a few people waiting outside of the gate.Hi Jan - where is this place - which province?
This is the place I mentioned in my earlier post. They do have dentists there, but not necessarily every day.The Centro Sanitario in POP is behind the fire station just off the Malecon. May I ask what comments prompted this reprimand? Compared to so many other threads, the responses here are very civil and related to the OP's questionThe OP is asking for information about low cost/no cost dental assistance. Any other comments are unnecessary, so stop.
You don't see them because they've been deleted for not being so civil.May I ask what comments prompted this reprimand? Compared to so many other threads, the responses here are very civil and related to the OP's question
