Does anyone have any idea which network this code belongs to in the Dominican. I've tried to call this from British Telecom and Vodafone from here in the UK and both these networks don't recognise the code. The operator says the code for the Dominican is 001809.

The code 001829 also exists for the DR - it's fairly new but you should have no problem calling from the UK. Are you sure that the rest of the number is correct?
I have called numbers beginning 001829 on many occasions from BT landlines and also O2 mobiles successfully.

I'm definately calling the right number cos I've rang it successfully over NTL.
Vodafone don't recognise this as a code for any network, they've advised me I need to supply them with the name of the network it belongs to so that they can load it onto their systems. Do you know which network it belongs to?

The new 829 area code is not recognized by all calling cards yet. Dont know why but it is what it is. Just have to wait till they catch up.
