"POLLOGRINGO" THANK YOU,THANK YOU,THANK.
To bad those who have not yet married a "Dominicana" will not heed you wisdom!
I should have killed my father-in-law,then married my mother-in-law,and had sex with all her daughters, not just one,let her raise the kids, just like now,and died of a heart attack at 50.
But Nooooooooooooooooooooooo,I had to marry my wife!and that was 3 kids, and 16.5481 years ago!
As I asked in another post,
"Why do most men die before their wives do?
Because they WANT TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kidding aside, these were things that mothers passed along to their daughters through generations...
I don't think it is happening as much nowadays.. There are too many other pressing issues to worry about.

Not sure what it's like in DR since my first visit will be later this year. But your statement, nas, reminds me of the disbelief my dear old mother used to express when she spoke of my sister's married daughters "they don't even know how to cook. They just go to the grocery and buy all that sh** in a box. It's terrible. A man needs a home-cooked meal at supper time".

God bless her, she was an old Irish farm woman who raised 4 kids who were born in 5 years. She milked cows, helped on the farm and always had a big garden and great home-made food. I'm hoping there's a few of those left in the DR for this guy.

Just keep your eyes and ears open, Softail. If something doesn't add up, keep it moving. How's your Spanish? More important, how's your Dominican? Hahaha.

Thanks for the advice/warning, PG. My Spanish is so-so, have lived in Cuba, Mexico, Colombia and spent a lot of time in Spain...this spread out over the years. Actually, my goal b4 leaving the planet is to vastly improve both my Spanish and French so DR seems like the perfect place.

Also looking to become a much better Petanque player, and I understand there are quite a few Frenchmen in DR so I should have a chance to do that.

my dominican wife of twenty years has been more than a good wife than i have been a good husband. not that i'm chasing chicas, but, i am disabled, now, i get massages, for my broken back, pedicures, help getting dressed in the morning, severe arthritis, she works her ass off, now that my income is limited. great mother to our son, clean clothes everyday for school, gets up early to put him on the school bus. she doesn't want to go to basketball games, spring training for baseball, so i get to hang with all the soccer moms, younger than her. she does spend too much money on the poor relatives back home. but she pays the electric bill. i wouldn't trade her for jennifer lopez, unless she had a prenuptual where i got 1 mill a year in alimony plus free helicopter.

I was rececently contacted by someone I don't know confirming all of my suspicions about an "esposa" that I had in SD. Take it from this "pendejo de primera clase":), be careful. I'm not a dumb guy, but once you get emotionally involved you're blind. Thing is, if you're an honest person, you won't even be able to comprehend how some of these girls are willing to sell their souls for a pittance. It's sad, really. At least I didn't marry her. It could have been much worse. Great learning experience.

I like these stories about women selling their souls for a pittance, she made me blind, I could never have known. I also hear stories about blind men shopping in the pound store for cartier or rolex, and then are equaly surprised when it breaks down or the gold rubs off after a few months.
Not digging at anyone, but I don't think guys are really surprised that often.

But the problem is that people seem to like drama and then complain afterwards. I see so many guys leaving their beautiful, nice, wealthy, educated wives or girlfriends for some cheap and poor woman from a trashy neighborhood. Why would they do it? One girl – gorgeous looking, educated young doctor living and working in the US - lost her husband to some female who has not even graduated form high school, does not have a good job, and does not look any better than her. Why ??????? Where is the logic? They say - love is blind, you can even love a goat.

In my experience, the "domesticated" single women were not the ones getting the dates.

Exactly, people come to this site to complain about trouble they have gotten themselves into with women who are "streetsmart," and know how to take advantage of them. But if a girl is intelligent and educated, has a good job, can support herself and help her husband - they simply don't "get" her or something? Maybe she is just too much? Are their men who like women with brains and not bimbos who are simply looking to be "taken care of"?

You seem quite bitter against all men today Alyonka, was it your Russian ex-husband that beat you, or Dominican boy-toy with three wives that tainted your views of XY DNA? Please share with us why you hate all men?

I have news for you, all women want to be "taken care of" on different levels. My last ex was from a very wealthy family, dad was a Doc, Mom was a Phd, yet tio tambo' had to pay for all her vacations, she had a six figure nest egg...WTF???

I think I will stick with the drop dead georgeous 20 year olds with no money and 1/2 a brain for the time being, they are better in the kitchen and the cama than used goods!

I don't hate men. I just learned news about my friend, the girl I was talking about and got disappointed. :(

Sorry, if I am generalizing. But I think part of it is true. Women do like being taken care of and men should like doing it. :)

I know I screwed up. I'm not looking for pity. I didn't leave my beautiful but emotionally unavailable dominican ex(see post #106) to be with a bimbo. I left because I left. I found the dominican bimbo later, after going through relationships with plenty of gringas here at home. I was vulnerable and I let my guard down and I screwed up. It won't happen again and I hope my story helps someone. If I had been reading here before I would have known better. I think the best of everyone and not everyone is deserving of that(sociopaths).

It is Ok, we are not blaming you. It happened here to a lot of people with Dominican, Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, and even American women. You can read posts of regular members on many threads - they pay and then compain. I think they should actually get to like taking care of people.
