One of the things I truly love about the DR is the all year blooms, especially in the city of eternal spring, Jarabacoa.

At the Cathedral in La Vega. Girl on the far left is a little demon, but still a good kid, way too much candy eaten by Dominican kids.

Short hole but wow narrow fairway plus elevated green. If you are good with your 5-7 irons this course is easy, until you get to the greens because they are tough.

Catholic Cathedral in La Vega - may look strange on the outside but it is beautiful inside.

Ok, here is my first try. This is one of the daughters of the owner of the hotel where I stayed in POP - very cute and happy girl.

Thanks for teaching me how to post pics! :)

This woman sells pastries to tourists. People like this represent DR beauty to me, not those opportunists who take advantage of others.

Nice picture Alyonka, next time turn off the flash so "La madam" don't have to close her eyes.

Thanks! I am still learning how to take good pictures. I love visual arts and want to become a photographer one day.

Too bad her eyes are closed otherwise it's a good close up pic the way I like. You got the scenery even if the person is close to you. Too many times photographer are putting their subject a lot too far because they want to catch the scenery, the result is nice view but the person is lost in it.

Thanks for your comment! There is a lot to learn in photography. One day I will be really good at it. :) That lady reminded me of my grandma for some reason - hardworking, with a lot of dignity, strength and honor. Sorry it took me so long yesterday, I was busy with other stuff for work. I will look for more pics from my DR trips tonight. Some of them are quite interesting - mostly kids and nature.

North American style cedar house at Jamaca de dios, Jarabacoa. Bet there's a high price for that view.

Grade four learning English. This was a lot of fun because children were jumping, some were flying...etc. The word was up.
