Santiago de Los 30 Caballeros
Santiago's and the DR's first all women musical group "Las Chicas del Poder Musical".

This is a picture of the actual article printed in the news for that time:
From left to right:

Aida M. Fernandez, Ana V. Sanchez, Francisca J. Cantizano, Rocio Deschamps and our lovely family's lead singer star Ingrid Pichardo.

I wish I knew where our old pictures of "La Do?a, me and Mrs. Hb" when we were novios, and attending dances at the Centro de Recreo.

I never knew it had been a residence...How wonderful was that wooden floor and the band stand balcony...Luis Alberti and the Santa Cecilia....what times...

Wow, those were some great fotos Pichardo. I really enjoy stuff like that. It was amazing how clean downtown used to be. You are at the top of the list of DR1 people that I haven't met but would like to. Next time I am in Santiago, I am going to look you up. Be sure sure to bring the old fotos.

The road is still there. There is just a gate around it. I think the focal point of this photo is where the theatre is, the front, now rear entrance of the theatre. Judging from the age of the cars in the photo, I would say this is probably the late 60s-early 70s.

Why is this "one of the houses with the most history..." Is it because it is one of the oldest in Santiago, or does it have some historical or cultural significance?"

For those that don't believe me when I said the river banks were void of huts not so long ago, this was 1979:

Behind this bridge was located a nice area of very clean and deep water where I used to go for swimming to cool up during the hots summers back in the 70s "La Pe?ita".
No any more Yaque del Norte river water is stinky and polluted.

Calle Mella esquina Vicente Estrella (Calle Los Pinos) Santiago.

I can see the show-repair guy seating by the door in his shop.

Nothing to do, sow business!
