Dominican lottery winner to split US$338M after wife sued

New York.- Dominican bodega owner Peter Quezada, who in March 2013 won US$338 million in an area lottery, decided to share his fortune with his wife, Mexican national Ines Sanchez, who sued him to get her part.

Quezada, a native of Jarabacoa (central)who reconciled with his wife on February 14, Valentine's Day and days later agreed to split the fortune with her, the mother of his six year-old daughter.

The lucky immigrant, who had a bodega in New Jersey and won US$152 after taxes, has other offspring from a previous relationship.

He has invested quite a bit in Jarabacoa, and I know one of his sons that is now a young adult, and I can't speak for his father but his son is a fine young guy. Other than the little one with the Mexican woman the others are all adults.

Did he sell lottery tickets in his bodega? Not to judge, but the 1st thing that comes to mind... he stole the ticket from some old lady that came to check her tickets.

Sounds like a great guy giving her half after she sued him!

What else was he going to do? He was going to lose that much and probably more, and get fleeced by the lawyers on top of that-his AND hers.

Whatever he's got left is better than nothing, especially since it was free money.

It's a win-win all around regardless.
