There are tons of these on Youtube. Barcelo had a whole series of them for every province which were very nice. I don't want to hijack Mr_DR's thread so I'll let him post them, but if you guys watch the one from Cotui, the "crazy" guy at the beginning was a neighbor of ours who used to be a school principal until he had a mental meltdown and now just walks all day wearing several jackets and ties no matter how hot it gets.

Is that the guy that gets offered a ride and he turns the ride down because he is in a hurry? hahahahahaha if it is, he became very famous with that commercial.

I think you are talking about Cuquin Victoria.....One of DR's best comedian.

You are mistaken. I am not referring to Cuquin Victoria but a character in one of the Barcelo commecials from the 80s. This gentleman is tall, dark and skinny. Certainly not Cuquin.

I don't recall his name. Perhaps Suarezn can tell us.

Yep that's the guy. His name is Mejo and like I said before he used to be a school principal who became mentally ill. He's still around always walking. That was not acting by the way...at least he didn't know he was in a commercial.

I think it has to do with the similiraties of when you write a diary, but in this case they are singing it to their imaginary #1 faithful listener instead of writing it.
