Dominican Republic’s reigning 400 m world champion Marileidy Paulino was chosen by the Pan American Sports Organization as one of nine athletes – five men and four women — to be ambassadors for the Americas in the Paris Olympic Games.
The ambassadors collectively have 14 Olympic, 33 world, and 26 Pan American medals, and Paris is the next grand goal for these to add medals to their already very successful sports careers.
The Pan American Sports Organization ambassadors are Olympic, World and Pan American medal winners who represent sports excellence in the playing field and are chosen to be true role models for their countries and promoters of Olympic values all over the world.
