The Dominican Republic’s Monthly Indicator of Economic Activity (IMAE) expanded by 4.6% year-on-year in July 2026, pushing cumulative average economic growth for the first seven months of the year to 4.5%.
According to data released on 25 August 2026 by the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD), performance throughout the January-July period was anchored by strong domestic activity in construction, the manufacturing of construction inputs, mining, and a broad expansion across the service sector —led primarily by financial services, hotels, bars, and restaurants.
