DR joins 5G Clean Network

Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez announced the Dominican Republic will be part of the Clean Network spearheaded by the government of the United States. The network provides the country access to a network of telecommunications infrastructure and reliable standards of technology supply chains.

The announcement was made after President Luis Abinader met for two-hours at the Presidential Palace with US Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy and Environment Keith Krach. Also present was US Ambassador Robin Bernstein.

Minister Alvarez stated that “it is critical that data traveling through the Dominican Republic’s 5G infrastructure be secure. The Clean Network provides countries and companies with a reliable foundation to ensure the security of their most sensitive information”.
