Hollywood ...

I did went to Cuba about 2 years ago. I did talked to a few people and of course there were many that wanted to leave, like in the DR. However, I have talked to many Cubans that are perfectly happy with their government and their way of life. Of course, they would like more economic opportunities, but until America don't become more open-minded towards non-democracies, I don't see that happening in Cuba soon.

Thanks...

Thanks for all your opinions. I was just wondering.

Having never really experience a sankie in DR or Cuba I worldn't know the scene in either. I'm always with a girlfriend in a resort in either country and if you're there as a couple the resort workers tend to leave you alone. They might be friendly but not too flirtatious.

I have a feeling Cubans are more eager to leave considering I get like 3 times as many messages from Cuban girls as Dominicans ones on amigos.com . Nevertheless, I still get the impression Cubans are overall happier and less desperate, in my opinion.

dr vs cuban resort workers

why people from the 1st world would go to 3rd world countries seeking sex and relationships? Who is using who? Which society is more sick? What would happen if we bring the DR and Cuban living and political conditions to Canada? Would canadians sankies be more loving? Toronto is full of sankies that are called whores and this happen in one of the richest countries in the world. Please, stop pretending you're superior and look inside yourselves. I'll trade any cuban sankie or dominican sankie for anyone of you.

Resort Workers

After having a discussion with one of my friends I thought I'd post here...

What we have decided is that the tourists are using the sankies as much as the sankies are using the tourists. It is a common dream to be whisked off away to live on a tropical island just as I'm sure it is every sankies dream to be whisked off away to live in a country where they will be economically provided for. The problem's, of course, start when once in the new location people start to realize that who they thought they first loved, they don't even know at all.

I can't really comment on the DR vs CUBA aspect of this post as when I was in Cuba I was too young (18y/o) to probably give a valid assessment of their men. But I'd have to say that in general, some men (and women too) of both of these countries and other tropical islands (Antigua, St. Thomas, St. Croix, Puerto Rico, etc.) are there for a good time.. and a new flight of tourists coming in daily, gives them the opportunity to satisfy their needs (sexually, economically, etc.) as they please.

Of course these are just generalizations as I'm sure there are some Island Men and Women that have no desire to have anything to do with us tourists.

As a side note...I do agree that sankies are not confined to tropical islands...I had the joy of working at a fishing resort here in Northern Ontario that caters mainly to upscale, American businessmen and we were told in not so many words to do whatever it takes to keep the guests (men) happy. This atmosphere of course led to many of the female resort workers accepting money to be in the company of these men. I'm not going to comment on what went on while in the company of the men but I can imagine much the same as some of the female resort workers in the DR.

When people are faced with money its funny how quickly their morals change.

Yup.. u got that one right.. good ol' Totem.. ha ha.. how'd u guess? lol

Because I live 25 minutes from it, and although I do not want to admit to it but I worked there for 2 years (in reservations in the winter, accounting/payroll in the summers). I used to live in the cabin right next to the office - what year did you work there?

Oh yeah, Dominican content - I worked there right after I moved back from Puerto Plata !!

Our cabin was broken into and blah blah blah

Hi Guys and girls,

I'm back from you guessed it CUBA! After my DR-relationship fell through (she went to NY to be with her father?) I went to Cuba. After spending two months on the island I can tell from personal experience that it is no easier to sleep alone on Cuba than on the DR. The only difference being that most women in Cuba actually have some sort of education... which makes them more pleasant to talk to and more devious as well...

As to the original dilemma whether this girl can believe her resortworker/boyfriend... Not for one minute.. Intimate service is included on Cuba as in the DR.. no one bothers with real life emotions, if you're my ticket outtahere I'll do you 5 times a day..

By the way I did improve my salsa.. :)
