How else would I be able to look at my daily usage on their website?

But let's be honest here; I take the readings with a grain of salt. Why? Because I'm home all day every day, and my routine doesn't change much from day to day. So, how would they come up with these weekend readings?

Because the fudge the figures (aka lie) or they are estimates based on historical usage ?
So you have a bi-directional meter that reports back through the lines ?

I do not believe that is available here in my neighborhood in Sosua

Have you tried to set it up online?

If they can read my meter, why use estimates?

Why send a meter reader around ? That's how they read mine
Why do you question the readings ?
It was a rhetorical question. As long as my bill remains low, I'm a happy camper.

Mine has doubled over last summer and nothing has changed, Yes I put the Inverter AC on when I go to bed for two hours , same as last summer.
I think their must be something in the works because all my neighbors seem to be realizing the same jumps
At this point Florida Power and Light is cheaper electricity
FPL is cheaper. I moved to Florida eight months ago. My FPL bill has averaged about $45.usd a month, crazy low with central air set at a nice and comfy 73 degrees 24/7. My bill in CT was six times that in the summer and not nearly as hot in CT.

Estimated charges and then billing (like shooting from the hip) has been around for ever. So what happens is the homeowner needs to read the meter and then dispute it,. Yes, why send a meter reader. As they say at the casino, the house always wins.

Maybe because their algorithm says people use more electric on weekends. Therefore you used more electric on weekend.

I have never had a bill over 2500 pesos here in Jarabacoa. I use my ac as required , which right now is about 12 hours a day.

Yes I have a friend with a large 3 bedroom place in Palm Beach. Keeps the AC on round the clock and keeps it cold as she works from home and her bill is less than mine now in DR.
In California my bills were almost $100/week with no AC and a gas stove.
Florida is a bargain for electricity
