In the last 6 months as more men wear masks there has been a steep decline in prostrate surgery. There must be a link.
Bullying?!?!? Oh Mike, you can have your 'safe space' with me, don't worry. My hugs were not of the bullying kind. I respect your pronouns and loudly condemn whatever sort of oppression you are suffering from.I might also ask why such bullying and badgering is allowed, as below? Is this the message you want DR1 to project? Thanks.
One of the first concepts I learned about HazMat/PPE at Texas A and M University in the 1980’s was routes of infection. Eyes are a confirmed route of exposure and infection to etiological agents, viruses, bacteria, etc. They are smaller membranes and the chances of contracting Covid through your eyes may be less than through your nasal passages, but the possibility exists. What JD is saying is true. This is not new knowledge gleaned from Covid research.Do any of you even realize that you can easily catch COVID through the EYES ? and we don't even know what percentage , there are no such stats
Are you all wearing Eye Protection every day along with your mask, every time you go out ?.
and Yes ,this comes from " Medical Experts" ( for the trolls here who insist on arguing every single point )
you have been lied to ,, please face reality .
Hopefully these Vaccines put an end to this Insanity and division .
Mask good.I do not think there is any misconceptions here. CV19 infections will still occur even if someone is wearing a decent mask does have their eyes covered and washes their hands often. We are trying to slow the rate of infection not completely eliminate it with these precautions. So to point out that infections will still occur is disingenuous. Many of us know this and are taking the flack for choosing to stay closer to our virus free zone at home more often. We do not have a perfect defense for any virus and I do not think anyone on this forum is suggesting anything different. Prudent precautions are just that - precautions to extend one's time without getting infected. Some choose to be more cautious than others. That in and of itself is a big reason why cases continue to increase and some of us are worried when we have to mix with the general population. We can only do what we can do and have the equipment to do.

I'm no medical expert, but droplets do exit from nose and mouth (flying), but the only things that come out of your eyes are tears, and usually those don't fly very far... So I'd think the contamination as is likewise possible with the liquid itself (tears), but I'm not sure how you would get someone else's tears on your eyes, so the risk would be quite minimum...The real question is more : is eye to eye contamination possible ?
If not, well wearing a mask when out and about will prevent one from japping their gums and spluttering out the virus into someone else's eyes, no ?
Contracting Covid through eye contact is possible through two scenarios. Walking unknowingly through a lingering Covid aerosol cloud in an enclosed area where there is no ventilation to disperse the cloud quickly and being adjacent to someone who is infected and sneezes. Aerosols released by sneezing spread further and faster than those released by normal breathing. In both cases the risk of infection by adsorption of the virus by your eyes( membranes) is possible. Wearing a mask will limit the aerosol spread during normal breathing. Sneezing, however, causes blowout through masks because of the energy created by sneezing. Watch anybody sneezing with a mask on during a cold day and you can see how quickly the sneeze is expelled through the sides of the mask. Contracting Covid through eye to eye contact is highly unlikely. Rarely do human eyes contact each other. The real question is more : is eye to eye contamination possible ?

Reason it cannot be found it that it was removed from all the reputable websites debunked as a false misinterpretation. How come Doctors and Nurses have been wearing surgical masks for over a hundred years? Don't waste you time arguing with these idiots, they follow one guy who is history in a few weeks.......................
Glad to see the DR strictly following the best science in making their best effort to slow the virus spread.
Pearls to swine. If they had an open mind and did any reading they would not be posting this stuff.Read this, maybe YOU can learn something instead of spreading your garbage here.

Still Confused About Masks? Here’s the Science Behind How Face Masks Prevent Coronavirus
We talked to UCSF epidemiologist George Rutherford, MD, and infectious disease specialist Peter Chin-Hong, MD, about the CDC’s reversal on mask-wearing, the current science on how masks work, and what to consider when choosing a mask.www.ucsf.edu
It is a respiratory virus and primarily enters through the nose and mouth.Do any of you even realize that you can easily catch COVID through the EYES ? and we don't even know what percentage , there are no such stats

I am not Dolores but the site needs participants even ones like "them".Question for Dolores: Why are the anti-maskers and conspiracy theorists allowed to repeatedly pollute the threads with their "opinions"? It detracts from what one might hope and even assume to be the tone and seriousness of this forum. Thanks.
