People who have been here a while: can you think of anything that's a substitute for graham crackers? I would use 'Nilla Wafers (if I could find them) or gingersnaps (if I could find them). Suggestions?

A friend had galletas integral con miel. I don't remember the brand, but it was one of the Dominican saltine cracker companies. Closest I've seen to graham crackers here.

Good call! I’ve had them, you’re right.

What are you making? A cheesecake? Sometimes I use shortbread cookies and/or Biscoff which are amazing, if you can find either of those. Or, with the holidays here, you should be able to find plain butter cookies. You can even use chocolate chip cookies for a pie crust, oreos, etc. It really depends on what you're baking.

And not to sidetrack the thread, but, I could not find the latke recipe you posted some years ago. They were delicious, and I'm hankering for some homemade goodness!

Nacional and Jumbo both carry Vanilla Wafers. I buy them all the time. Of Course it is the DR and not everything is always there. Crav'n is the brand they carry. And they are good..........

We've always used Maria's cookies which you can find at Playero. They come in a red sleeve near the top shelf.

I have eaten crackers purchased from Janet's in Cabarete that were remarkably similar to graham crackers. Not sure if they still sell them.
