my "advise"would be if you want to hold on to your man/woman? then cough up the bread sweetie.
if not said family may encourage your partner to go "fishing" again
and then you will be left all alone in this world with no one to love you......
well for a few hours at least,until you leave the house and a guy/girl falls in love with you within the space of a few hours.
quicker as a matter of fact if you are prepared to be used,i mean pay for the whole lazy clan.what would your partners family ever have done if they had not met you?
they would all probably be in their early graves,dead from starvation or some strange disease they picked up while being forced to drink sewer water and eating boiled rat.
or maybe they would get up off their fat parasitical ass's and work for a living.

When We First Married My Wife's Family Members.....

...used to ask me to "Invest" in their "schemes" to make money! You know,hair Salons, Pig farms, a "Wrecker" to haul broken down cars,etc.,etc. I never did! Their "Ideas" never bore fruit! "Duh!"...
I gave 2000 pesos for a hospital bill,so they could get their dead baby's body from the hospital. You have to pay the bill,or they keep the body until you do!!! "Nice People!
It is now 12 years later,and they don't ask anymore!!
Dominicans go to the "wealthiest" member of the Clan,wether a foreigner,or a dominican. I have a very good dominican friend. He is the only one in his family that has any money. Believe you me,HE is pestered
for money ALL THE TIME!!!! Much more than any "Gringo" that I know,who is married to a Dominican!!
Do remember that it OK to "Just Say No!" to requests for money! They hear "NO!" all the time! Dominicans ALWAYS ask others to bail them out when they are short of money,which is ALL THE TIME!!
I used to have a "Story" that was "worse" than theirs when asked. They just don't bother me anymore.

Why make it into such an issue and a pain in your a**???

Have some FUN with this - lend a SMALL amount to a relative. Then afterwards, whenever ANYONE comes to you asking for money just tell them- "OK maybe, but only after "so-and-so" pays me back - that's the ONLY money I have to lend." Then stand back, and watch the FUN! That poor bastard will be the one getting pestered to death, and NOT YOU!

One thought - "coughup the bread honey, or lose your man/woman"???? Who in the hell wants to live/be married to/ have a life with anyone who would do this to you? Get a life "honey"!

And just another thought - who in the heck are you trying to impress by telling them that you pay US$2k a month in rent? What a schmuck!
