FINA AIR and VIVA divorced

40 empleos directos, as? como 10 puestos gerenciales. Fina Air??, dijo Dowdell.

I'd like to see how they are going to fly scheduled with an on demand air carrier certificate.

Papu, be careful before making such drastic conclusions based on limited information.
If you look at the first paragraph of Fina's main page you will read:

"Fina operates SAAB 340 aircraft and will sub-service the routes of other major regional
air carriers in the Caribbean. Fina provides aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance
on a sub-contracting basis to maintain an on-time, quality service to specific regional destinations."

Basically Fina is like a "whore" and will get in bed with as many airlines it can. Fina is about
to go to bed with Viva and any other interested party that shows up at the door (that's why Fina may do very well).

Viva and Fina are not married, they are getting in business together. Fina is and will keep seeking other business
opportunities. It's is not because Bill Clinton goes to Burger King one day that he will not go back to MacDonald's :)

If you read somewhere that Fina is about to do business with some other airline do not automatically deduct that they will cease to do business with their other partners!

Viva and Fina are not married, they are getting in business together. Fina is and will keep seeking other business
opportunities. It's is not because Bill Clinton goes to Burger King one day that he will not go back to MacDonald's :)

Fina should seek more customers and not only Viva to stay in Business...A company relying on only one customer is a recipe for failure...Fina needs to reduce their risks and dependency...

FINA AIR left VIVA for good.

Fina Air updated info on its reservation phone numbers, now instead 1 800 FLY VIVA they use 1 800 FLY FINA.

Also they eliminated link to VIVA on its webpage.

Papito, maybe you should call Fina and tell them that the forgot to take out: "has secured relationshops with important regional carriers such as Viva Airlines" still right on their main page.
see: http://www.fina-air.com

And also: "we are presently developing a program for frequent flyers in collaboration with Viva Airlines".
see: http://www.fina-air.com/packages.htm

Fina shoul also then remove the Press releases at:
http://www.fina-air.com/news.htm

...and the news clippings at: http://www.fina-air.com/news.htm

While your at it you should also call Viva because when you call their reservation numbers "Fina Tours" answer (same if you call the Fina number).

By the way, Fina has their reservation system up and running...

You made assumptions based on a single missing .gif file from a web page...Don't you think a little more research is required before such a drastic conclusion?

Avionics:
Don't count on Fina being able to lease rent or sub service to any other carrier unlees they are dully autrorized by the DOT so for example Fina is On demand and viva is scheduled Fina can't operate the routes nor the flights because they are not dully certyfied one being scheduled the other being on Demand, you can review this on F.A.R. 119.53 it is very clear.
