It is really just some grumpy people looking for an argument over nothing.
Here on DR? Get outta here! LOL

I do live in Sosua and am sure I'll stop for a burger at some point. My only beef (no bun intended) is the place has zero parking and I like to pull up to a place, sometimes with my lady y hijastra, and eat have a beer then go home.
This isn't an option for quick in and out as you probably have to park some distance East, plus it's located in hooker central which I try to avoid.
Not to mention the screaming motos constantly passing.
I wish the pub well but a little further East on PC would have seemed a better spot for locals to frequent.
Thankfully no Irish drunks singingAn Irish pub should really be priced in Euros, like they are in Ireland.
These trendy Irish pubs have about as much to do with Ireland as pizza.
No Irish beer, no Irish food, no Irish staff and thankfully, no Irish music!

Time will tell if that really matters. Perhaps he can take a survey of the customers and get feedback on that issue.
............
I find it interesting his friends are getting so offended over the US menu issue.
In a small way I thought the menu pricing talk was a survey of sorts. Obviously I was wrong as some see it as no more than grumpy old people complaining and if you don't live on the north coast your opinion doesn't matter. I have always been under the impression that any consumer feedback is beneficial to the business owner whether good or bad.............

I get the uproar about the us$$ but not about the parking. There really usually is a spot within a block. If you don’t want to be surrounded by sexworkers or motoconchos when walking I guess I can see that but the location is pretty good imo.
To me it just feels like a slap in the face to the DR having US only on the menu. The guys that come to Sosua from the US seem to be some of the cheapest people around as well (except for the cheap sosua expats of course).
I’m sure he will do fine, lots of people love an Irish bar.
