Unfortunately, meaning it will not appeal to the masses money wise. The clientele will be more of a select crowd. I am not saying it's a negative at all.

That airport is not the closest. It may be on a straight line, but vehicles ride on roads and there is no ferry that cuts from Samaná to either Sababa de la Mar or Miches that can tame vehicles. The airport that can be accessed the fastest is Punta Cana and it's within the maximum 2 hours bus ride that a tourist would be willing to endure after flying sonewhere for vacation.
Someone filmned part of the scenery on the way to the Club Med that open near Miches (from the Punta Cana Airport.) Past the Punta Cana/Bávaro area where it isn't scenic at all and flat as a paper, things get better. Can notice the effects of a hurricane some time before.
