I think the inevitable transition is around the corner, soon carrying a firearm could be like carrying a cell phone. For several years before leaving I diced about with the idea. I borrowed a couple from a DNCD cousin to have around the house to see how I felt about having them around, but was never comfortable with having a gun and child in the same house, if anything it made me more paranoid as I am not sure how I would feel about killing someone, I think I would forever feel responsible to provide for his wife and kids, so never actually kept them for long, which was always never quite understood as I think he just thought I was asking for a free gun as ALL the men (mainly taxi drivers) in the family get them from that which he confiscates each night. There is just something about guns that freaks me out, I'd rather carry a few hand grenades than a pistol. But I don't need to worry about that anymore, the most dangerous things on the streets of Europe are drunks,which is proving equally as difficult to adjust to.
Totally agree and who want to carry a spare wallet and expired credit cards ! As a woman, I carry enough things around !
It sure sounds like something he made up just to look cool, I don't think he really does it but the idea sounds good.. if you're that paranoid that everytime you go out the only think you're thinking about is the (big) possibility to get robbed.
It is a half intelligent idea, he just must not have read the article that put it in his head correctly. If I am carrying a large wad I'll hold the majority in my front bollox pocket and keep a bit in my wallet, I've done that as long as I've been visiting casinos, or staggering home after all is closed down. But to carry 2 wallets is stupid, they wouldjust take the two wallets. Those ofus who have had a nose picked with a pistol know they don't take your word you have nothing. They will kind of semi search you. I've still got a RD50,000 reward out on Independencia for anyone who could ever return my grandads watch he left me, I'd have rather been shot than them take that. but anyway, that's another topic. We know Pi2 doesn't go out after dark anyway as he is solar powered and requires sunlight to function, and I don't believe he has a motorcycle fromthe amount of planet trasher bashing he does on here. Other than that, great!
