Steve: Can you kindly provide some magnitude estimates? Specifically, do you the numbers on how many residents will occupy each of these buildings and what the total will be (over time, or staggered is fine)? Seasonal variations or weekend vs full-time estimates are helpful. If you have the parameters of how large the total area will be with the total numbers, that will work too.

The reason I am asking is that these are essential numbers to calculate the necessary infrastructure for proper public health planning. These are essential for emergency management in the event of natural or other disasters (e.g. hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunami's, bombings, etc.) to avoid situations like what happened in New Orleans.

Well ... first of all Juan Dolio is located not under the sea level like New Orleans , USA . The closest place with similarity to New Orleans is San Pedro de Macoris ( where your DH works ), where big part of it is under the sea level ... Do you think such studies were done there and when ? ... And how much was spend $$$ in New Orleans , USA on '' necessary infrastructure for proper public health planning , essential for emergency management in the event of natural or other disasters '' ? Honestly did it work there ? Everyone there were asking how it is possible in USA ! ... I'm very sorry to remind it ... so many victims ... so late ''emergency'' respond ... in USA ! ... Second... It is true that most of the apartments in Juan Dolio are bought as the investment ...some of them will be occupied by owners ones in awhile , some will be rented ones in awhile , some will be empty as just a vacation home ... So I do not think it will be much more people than when the resorts were open and full in the past before to be converted into condos ...
