Story seems to have a lot of twists in it. Was he afraid, did he know she didn't come out of the water, did something else happen that caused her to drown or before that? Lots of questions.
So tell us about him killing her, carrying the body out of the hotel because if he goes right or left on the beach there is constant security to stop people from walking into the two other hotels and somehow avoids this, dumps the body so it cannot be found. He has said Konanki may have been swept away by a wave, left when he got out of the water, or saw her walking along the beach with the water up to her knees in the direction of where she had left her clothes, the source said.
The young man is not considered to be a suspect at this time, the source said....

Let's keep in mind these are horrific optics. Suppressing selective camera footage may be a possibility in attempts at damage control. Also, the irresponsible drunken youths drowning theory would also help to abate the poor optics.
