Government has savings of RD$16.2 billion

President Luis Abinader announced spending cuts of RD$16.29 billion, or 60% less for September-December 2020 compared to September-December 2019. He said spending for the last quarter of the year is now at RD$11.04 billion compared to RD$27.3 billion by the Medina administration.

The National Budget Office is sharing a comparison of spending during the last quarter of the year in 2020 under the Abinader administration to the last quarter of the year in 2019 under the Medina administration.

RD$ 199 on entertainment and events still seems pretty high in a pandemic when nobody is supposed to be socialising or attending events. I reckon he will be able to get some of these numbers lower. When you see how much Danilo was spending you begin to realise just how corrupt they were.
