Grupo Puntacana, the owner and operator of the largest airport in the Dominican Republic, the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of a new terminal building at Guyana’s Cheddi Jagan International Airport ((CJIA). In a statement, CJIA said that the MoU is an important step forward for the airport’s expansion plans. The new terminal will increase Guyana’s main international airport’s passenger capacity and enhance the overall travel experience at the airport.

The collaborative effort is to build a new terminal building at CJIA specifically designed to handle the growing influx of passengers.
