Gulf Oil announces it will be expanding its operations to the Dominican Republic. Gulf Oil is a leading distributor of motor fuels in the United States with a growing international division.

Gulf Oil International is present in 160 countries and has around 3,000 stations around the world in both retail fuels and lubricants.

The company expects to invest around US$60 million in their operation in the Dominican Republic. The company has announced it will open 20 fuel and natural gas stations for vehicles and 12 quick oil change establishments over the next three years.

The brand’s representative in the Dominican Republic is Juan Tomás Díaz. Díaz is married to Paola Rainieri of the Puntacana Group, owner of the Punta Cana International Airport.

Gulf Oil s currently owned by a convenience store chain operator known as Cumberland Farms.
