The executive vice president of the Institutionality and Justice Foundation, Servio Tulio Castaños Guzmán expresses his concern that this has been a municipal electoral campaign without proposals. He complained about the lack of debates and content with solutions to specific problems of each municipality.

For Castaños Guzmán it is very alarming that the campaign has been all about promoting the mug shots and videos of candidates, without the candidates elaborating on their solutions to specific problems in terms of citizen security, gender violence, solid waste management, storm drainage and others.

Finjus’ spokesperson regretted that the current municipal election campaign is empty, characterized by the promotion of portraits, poses and zero debates.

“There are no proposals on the issue of security and local governments play a role. That is to say: it is a...

And when you look at the posters, they all look llike bad guys. It's like looking at the nasty villain in the cast photo for a new movie, except they all look like that. Possibly with the exception of Abinader, I think he's not a complete crook.

Of course they do not talk about proposals because they haven’t got any. They’re only in it for a position that will line their pockets. Too bad as local governments potentially have the biggest impact on local progression.

I agree with you, there's something in Abinader and his face that makes him look less dangerous...

All the candidates I've ever seen have been promoting "Cambio!"... Change in what exactly, no answer...

Abinador does seem ok politically. Not sure I like him that much but you don’t have to like him. I was impressed with how he handled the pandemic. They were good at pretending to do something and at the same time keeping tourism and the economy going. Dominicans are good at pleasing both sides. You don’t really know if they are right or left. They keep a good relationship too with all Caribbean and Lat Am countries. I think Dominicans are good diplomats. If it’s true what some posters here claim that healthcare is improving then even better. I want to look into that.

I like the candidate who is honest and his speech went like this
"My friends, my opponent has been robbing you blind for years, and now all I ask is a chance."

People going into politics for 3 things: ego, power and money, they never really want to 'serve' or bring about 'change' like they pretend.
I say bring back dueling.
Pistols at 50 yards. That would eliminate half the thieves.
