I would just like to buy some rye bread, Traditional Jewish Rye. There was a great brand I grew up with forgot the name. It was wrapped in old school hard cellophane. Not Arnold's.
Like Zak the Baker's bread? I got a loaf of that once that was way beyond it's "use by" date by the time it got to me.

No sir I'm talking a 70s 80s brand I can't find it on the web.
With the loaf I got that was as hard as a rock, I did the old trick my mother showed me - running water over the entire thing and let it set all night.
It was soft enough to cut easily the next morning.

How much flour required to make one loaf?
It usually takes 3-4 cups depending on what kind of bread you're making. The last time I looked at a Rye Bread recipe, it was a mixture of two or three different types of flour.
