Harlem Globetrotters coming to Santo Domingo

The Harlem Globetrotters are returning to Santo Domingo for a 14 September 2024 performance at the Volleyball Pavilion of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.

The Harlem Globetrotters are the American exhibition basketball team best known for blending sports with entertainment.

The upcoming show in Santo Domingo promises to be a fun and impressive experience for the whole family, featuring audiovisual resources, special effects, and incredible plays that make it a truly unique event.

Tickets for RD$1,800 will go on presale starting 8 July 2024 on Uepa Tickets. The volleyball pavilion seats around 4,000.

I guess they are still entertaining to kids, if they even know who they are now.
But their act is a bit, shall we say, stale and they use lame props now.
But they brought in a new woman and a midget (can I still use that word ?) to freshen up the act.

But they can't handle the ball like the old legends, Sweet Lou, Curly Neal, Tex Harrison, Twiggy Sanders, Showboat, Showbiz, Geeze, Meadowlark and Jimmy Blacklock
Without Meadowlark Lemon & Curly they just aren't the Globetrotters.

Does anyone know what the difference is (besides $) in VIP and Special Guest? Also, is there adequate parking at the Centro Olympico?

concur the Harlem Globetrotters acted was for the seventies and eighties . nowadays kids just sit home playing PlayStation they are not amused with putting the ball in the basket
