So I’ve being visiting santiago for the last 2 months every Monday and Tuesday (business trip); Today during the local TV news of Santiago the news anchor suggested to the audience that Santiago has become the #1 city in all around crime statistic , as opposed to the capital holding that title since dawn of times ….at first I thought he was just looking for VIEWS/controversy but he started making several points that made a lot of sense including but Not Limited to the fact that money laundering (lavado de dinero) is still a crime although no-one gets hurt , also the fact that missing person / kidnapping where NO -body is ever found doesn’t get registered as a crime being committed , and many other points that really make me believe his statements … another point he made was that santiago criminals / delicuents are very good at paying PEAJE (paying off police for the right to atracar and robar in their sector)
Anyways just wondering if anyone else here at DR1 forum CENTRAL agrees with the NEWS ANCHOR as fas as thinking that santiago has surpassed Santo Domingo as #1 City in crime statistics
