If you choose POP, BushBaby should be able to give you a long list of places to stay as I could for Sosua.

Montellano is halfway between POP and Sosua. There are many hotels in both places and we can certainly reccommend a whole buch of hotels in either place, but there is nothing decent right in Montellano.badpiece33 said:

I hope you didn't think that I was saying that there was nothing decent about Montellano. I meant to say that I don't know of any decent hotels around there.
As Sosua is nearby and I know it well, I would be glad to suggest some places to you, if you don't mind telling me what your requirements are, such as budget and the comforts you would like to have.
If you need to be right in Montellano, I could ask our employees who live there to make some suggestions.

Oh Jesus... Just stay in Sosua at Rockys. Marco who is trying to be politically correct doesn't want to pump his place but it is nice and clean with ceiling fans and color tv/w/cable for only 15 bux US a night. He will even pick you up from the airport if you are staying for more than a night or two. He also serves great food.
While I am at it, I am having a 4th of July bash there at ROCKYS Bar/Restaurant in Sosua if you would like to join us. It starts at dinner time on the 3rd which is a Saturday if you are there. You will meet 75 to 100 of your newest friends there For only about 6.50 US you get a choice of Ribs, Steak or Chicken dinner complete with Coffee and desert.

I appreciate all the help, i didn't take the remark about montellano in a bad way. it's ok. what i was looking for as i said is just somewhere to sleep. someplace decent enough for a female. nothing expensive. someplace simple. someplace near montellano. i don't mind staying at rockys if its not that far from montellano. thanks for the july 4th invitation. I will be there around that time. as for my travel plans im arriving in la romana to take care of unfinished business and traveling by bus to puerto plata.
