The International Permit means nothing in the DR. Her license is valid for the period of her visa, but yours is not valid after your tourist card expires, which I think is 30 days, but others will have better information on that.

Windy, for what I have put in bold, do you know if that is just for a work visa or for any visa other than a residency one?
