Highly recommend flexienvios BHD for transfers to DR especially for BHD clients

Was frequently using Remitly for years til I found out about flexienvios & no plans of using other fund transfer apps. The exchange rate is much higher & since I’ve signed up last month haven’t had to pay a single transfer fee. Signed up & disclaimer mentions the first 3 transfer fees are waived but apparently for BHD transfers there’s not fee? Processed 6 transfers & til today & no charge (one requirement I’ve noticed is that mobile text notifications is a requirement for the waived fees). For those who transfer funds often to DR might be a good option to check out

For example atm flexienvios exchange rate is at $60.49 & Remitly $58.84. BHD transfer via flex no fee & Remitly $2.99 ..can’t speak for other providers haven’t checked them out

$60.49 is the current rate from a US checking account to DR saving account via BHD ..

Looks like a good option for those who wish to use it, but it should be noted that the transfer has to be made using a debit or credit card. There may be other fees incurred by the sender in doing so, The $2.99 fee would be incurred by the sender also, if/when Flexenvios charges it,

ya forgot to mention funds are withdrawn immediately & it’s solely via debit or credit card(def a fee with cc). Unless I found a glitch haven’t been charged a fees for BHD transfers beyond the 3 first time user signup transaction waiver promo. I’ll check out the disclosures to clear it up for myself

I transfer $US directly from my Royal Bank Acct to my BHD Dollar acct. I pay no fee at my Canadian bank and $7 US at BHD. There is no exchange because it is dollars being transferred.

That’s great. Haven’t found a means to transfer funds without exchanging to pesos in DR. In my experiences dollar to dollar acct transfers have always incurred fees

Doesn't need to. Try writing a check to yourself from your $ account out of the country. Have it sent to your $ account in DR. Net, net you receive dollars without any fees whatsoever in 4-5 working days.I do it every month in anticipation for the following month. Never a hitch.

Thank you never made an attempt nor researched that as a possibility. I always assumed a US check couldn’t be deposited into a DR dollar account. Should’ve researched online or asked a DR bank associate tbh

We’ve been doing it for years, has to go into a dollar account of course. It does take time to clear, can be up to 2 weeks so plan ahead

Thank you! listening to my dads didn't help me out. Asked him few yrs back regarding check deposits into a dollar acct & he told me it’s not possible so I used bank wires or app transfers every so often.

Once again, I find myself lost as to the number of individuals who don't understand basic financial movments. Why would anyone pay 50, 100US to wire dollars to a Dominican bank when, if you are a non convict, tax paying, normal banked US person, you can send yourself or your trusted errand guy US dollars via Vimenca (Cavok) or Remitly (the rest of us) to Caribe Express for 5 or 10 dollars. And you get to stay off SWIFT!

Ez lack of research & knowledge ..besides wires were for a substantial amount well over $200k for investment purchases. So in that case those transactions made sense

For those transactions the only option both my & sellers attorneys gave me was to wire funds which made sense. I mentioned issuing a check & they shut me down immediately. Besides DR does some sorta background check & paperwork which has to be filled out to prove funds are legit to avoid legal issues
