Planner could you please let me know what kinds of school supplies are needed for the children as well do we leave tips for the people who clean our room and what would be considered a good tip. We are booked in the Royal Master jacuzzi suites from feb 28th to Mar 14th if you haven't had a chance to get a look at these suites we would be very pleased to meet you and let you check it out. We are in Edmonton, Alberta and will gladly bring you the Edmonton Journal and the Edmonton Sun. Again you have done a great job of informing us Canucks on this resort

Seems that the confusion on adults only area stems from communication. I'm still confused even after calling my booking company. I'm booked into a Delux room and I kept questioning whether it was an Adult room and was assured it was. The words "Royal Suite" were not on the confermation, only the word Delux. Any thoughts? This site has been invaluable. Keep those messages coming!!!

We were booked into regular rooms and tried to use this bar and were turned away and told we did not have the right color wristbands.

Well thank goodness for that. I was beginning to think we had paid extra for nothing. What I don?t understand is why you even tried in the first place? Why is it that some people will always try and get something for nothing?
If you want to use the facilities in the Royal Suites it?s easy. PAY THE EXTRA MONEY Duh!
It's really simple, those who have paid for the Adults only facilities can use them, and those. Wait for it....... that haven't can't!.
How long before some bright spark asks why they can't take their kids in to the Adults only section.:bored:

The reason we went to that pool is because our tour company does not say that you have to pay for the Royal Suites to use the Adults pool area. Even the sign by the pool does not say anything about being exclusive to Royal Suites Guests, just says adults only.....We were two adults trying to use what we were told we were entitled to. We did not try to take our kids in there. If it had been specific in the brochure I don't think any of this debate would be going on. Obviously signature isn't sure either what is going on. It is dissappointing to find this out when you get there as we made inquiries when we booked and before we left and were advised it was just adults only not for Royal Suites Guests only....

I know.:chinese: To save any more confusion they should put a sign up saying "Adults Only Pool For Royal VIP Suite Guests Only" with a little sign at the bottom of the post saying "Anyone trying to use these facilities that do not have the right to do so will be shot!" or words to that effect:glasses:

Wow!! looks like someone has issues. I agree that the "Adults Only" area is for Adults, however, if you look at previous postings by numerous people, there is NO mention in the Signature Literature about this. Signature Vacations has acknowledged the error and is doing the best they can to help people out. I think your post may be a bit extreme under the circumstances. Lighten up dude!!

A little harsh dont you think Peter? IF you read the whole thread - who has that much time right - you will find that the brochure in Canada is very different from the brochure in the UK. This has created all kinds of problems and adults thought they had the right to use the adult only pool.

According to a source, the Canadian division has admitted it's error and are working on fixing the issue. So Peter - take a chill pill please.....LOL

School supplies: here is my list again.

pencils
erasers
sharpeners
pens
markers
colour pencils
stickers
NO paper - it is too heavy
chalk
white board markers
white board erasers.

And anything else you can think of. Got no room in your luggage: I have a solution for you. $10 US will buy a school room a chalk board. SOmething like 70% of class rooms don't have a chalk board.

Carona - I will take you up on that offer!!!! I will send you a message.

Anyone else wants to donate school supplies or meet me to say hi, send me an email and I will give you my contact information.

This is interesting. I also love kids but sometimes on holiday I don't want to be around them.

What I find interesting is that they have created this absolutely wonderful family friendly resort and then stuck and adult only area in it. My thought would have been - so which are you??? Family or adult. Can you be both? I am not sure, time will tell.

Now Peter, we will all let you play with us if you try to play nice....OK?

And I can only eat 1/2 a child.......

Looking at your previous posts I see you are one of those who believe that you should be allowed access to the VIP facilities even though you have not paid for them.
Your reason for believing this, is that in your Canadian brochure it doesn?t state that you can't use the Adult pool.
Well in the UK brochure it doesn?t state that I can't sit in the first class section of the plane that will be taking us there. But I bet I can't, even if I ask nicely, Unless I pay extra for it. do you see the common theme here:surprised

Actually Peter.

I DID pay extra and I am booked in the Royal Suites Area. I don't have kids, but I find your remarks extreme and inflamatory considering you don't even know me.

I apologise Iluv2travel I thought you had put this in a previous post.

Moreover, as I understand it the Adults Only upgrade is for a nicer room with a jacuzzi plus the use of the Adults Only area of the resort among some other perks such as priority reservations at restaurants and checkin. I'm not expecting all that... I didn't pay for that. I, like Ottawa, just want what the brochure said I would get.... and no we are not wining!!

You must have upgraded then?

Actually, yes I did upgrade.

My tour company and Signature Vacations have been very good about doing what they can to correct their errors and keep people happy.

Heheheh, I am back ......

Should I unload on Peter now, or wait till I calm down from work ....

Oooo, the choice .....

Peter = UK = First Choice = Correct Brochure = Is bitter because he is paying for something that he beleives he should get while others get what they paid for .....

Hmmm, I think I am going to quote most of my quotes tomorrow pointing out that NO ONE ONCE complained and wanted anything more then what "THEY" thought they had paid for.

Seems like everyone is on the same page. Meaning all anyone wants is to be able to use what they paid for.

I must admit though we have gone though over 300 replies, and over 15,000 views on this thread alone, and PETER you have been the rudest person to ever reply.

YOU WIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats Buddy.

We must bow at your presence, because we needed someone like you to enter this thread and make us look SOOOO much smaller then you "The ALMIGHTY that paid "SO MUCH MORE MONEY".

We are not worthly of swimming in the pool with you. I understand that.

I'll be sure you wave at you at the gate while your swimming ....

Oooopsss I forgot.

I might wave at you while I AM in the pool. The wording is mis-leading and our tour company has helped us out as well.

So I guess if you read ALL 34 pages, you will notice that this thread was not a complaining thread at all, but an informative thread that has helped people who were in similar situations BEFORE they go on vacation, vs being turned away WHILE on vacation and then giving the HOTEL a hard time, when it isn't the hotels fault.

Oh how I could go on, (AND WILL) but I am just a tad tired.

Check this thread out tomorrow night (EST).

I will make more sense, and hopefully less spelling mistakes.

WB Ottawa.

I missed you in this not so pleasent exchange. Personally I am thinking of "downgrading" to regular accomodations. I think Peter is just rude enough to pee in the adults only pool. :p
