the last post may have been in april but i just want to see that i just came back from the Holiday Village and it was very enjoyable!! Best suited for families with kids but the Royal suites private section was great for me and my best friend (the upgrade was worth every penny!!) the food was good, nothing to rave about and not a single person i met mentionned anything about being sick from the food!!!

how is the beach in the month of october. I went in july and it was excellent. Is it the same in the month of October or is it empty because of slow tourist season?

this sickness problem at hvgb has been going on for too long,we stayed in january and we all got ill along with lots and lots of other guest, many had to go to hospital. when we arrived back to uk my mother who was sick for the whole 2 weeks ,spent a month in hospital with e-coli , along with my daughter and myself we also paid a visit to a&e and was ill for a further 2 weeks. ive had holiday sickness before but never like that.......

also while we was there the maid in the toilets i watched her wipe the toilet bowls out then wipe the sinks with the same cloth!!! no wonder people are getting sick ...

Hi all, as far as this sickness thing goes, there has been a group of 23 of us out here for 3 weeks and not one of us has been ill or anyone else we know while weve been here. i feel sorry for anyone who has been ill but please dont start worrying that theres sickness here as its a load of **** January was a hell of a long time ago and they had only been open a month, all i can say is they certainly have changed it round, they are constantly cleaning, ive never known anywhere so clean.

So to all you lucky people who are coming here, have a fantastic holiday as we certainly have and we will be back next year so cant be that bad eh???

Departure Tax: on the FC website it says that this has been added to time of booking (in my brochure i know it states a date when this kicked in but its in my car, i'll have a look tomorrow!)

& What do men generally wear in the evenings to the resturants? Boyfriends a bit worried on what evening wear to take!

Also, we wanna do the shark/sting ray encounter at ocean world, does this hotel offer this or we will have to book this with someone else?

xdaniellex - they have excursions from the hotel to ocean world that you can organize when you get there. Either through the hotel or you just hop in a taxi (very close to the hotel)

Danielle- buffet rest- he can wear anything he wants 3/4 trousers shorts etc.
Ala carte- long trousers only so just chuck a shirt and a pair of slacks in unless you plan a la carte a lot in which case a few shirts and some slacks.

Hodgesx - at the buffet there is a little kids section which usually offered french fries, onion rings, fish sticks, chicken nuggets, et.. and the ice cream bar of course. it's even low enough for kids to pick the food themselves.

xdaniellex - trousers! i dont think i even saw anyone there wearing jeans. its too hot! lol
