Marketing and Cultural Differences
Your ideas sound fine in the USA/Canada, but you're looking at a very different market here. You need to visit and watch your market for a while. Make no assumptions based on what works at home, okay?
As for the hotdogs, I do NOT think that will work. UNLESS you give free ones to the really HOT ladies. AND if you have an autographed photo of some famous NY-Dom or someone like Sammy Sosa, no scratch Sam. Anyway, you're going to have to start a trend here, lots of work. Lotsa risk.
Finally, on catering and special events, you had better know some VIP somewhere, in most countries it is really who you know for catering...
I wish you luck. If you want to meet an established need, go to a small/med town and sell imported hair care products for black hair. Your market will spend more on hair than on food.
Oh, and to sell anything in the DR, you need MUCHO MUELA...the gift of gab
Good luck!
